Nominated for two Canadian Folk Music Awards (2025), DISTANCIA is Solidaridad Tango’s debut album. Written and recorded during the pandemic, this album takes you on a journey through despair to the hope that kept us going through our darkest days. Featuring original music and lyrics by Aparna Halpé (Canada), and works by Julián Peralta, Pétalo Selser, and Eva Wolff (Argentina), this album redefines the face and sound of contemporary tango in Canada. DISTANCIA is funded by the Ontario Arts Council.
