Over twenty years, Carlos and Alison have taught, performed and choreographed in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, the UK, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Norway, the Czech Republic, Taiwan, and China.

Carlos and Alison both trained extensively under the legendary Carlos Perez and Rosa Forte, as well as with many of the old tango Maestros sadly no longer with us.They have spent many hours under the tutelage of the most important trailblazers of tango in Buenos Aires as well.

As Senior Tango Champions of the 2014 Campeonato de Baile de la Ciudad, they carry a traditional lineage forward with a contemporary sensibility. They are searching always for the special transcendental magic tango offers, creating spaces where the shared experience of dancing together can  foster connected communities on and off the dance floor.

Dancing Tango has been a part of Carlos’s life since childhood. It began in the kitchen with his mother in rural Argentina, then progressed to classes, prácticas, and social dancing in milongas—first in La Plata, then Buenos Aires, and eventually around the world. Dance has been a fundamental part of his life and personal growth. The intellectual aspects of tango—exploring its historical, socio-political influences, and cultural/social context—are central to his teaching approach. In recent years Carlos has immersed himself in the world of contemporary tango music—the tangos that will be the classics of the future, that our grandchildren will listen to. 

Born in Canada and raised in England, Alison holds a BA in Visual and Performing Arts and is trained in modern, jazz, ballet and contact improvisation. In 2005 she moved to Buenos Aires to immerse herself in tango, there she met Carlos and they began their shared tango journey. She approaches tango as a form of storytelling, translating its history and intimacy into a living, evolving art form. As a side hustle, Alison is a director and award-winning filmmaker.
